der untergang refers to an dystopian city in which from one day to another everybody went crazy - the perfect outline for the remixers oliver koletzki, umami and label heads aka aka! every remix comes with a different vibe and mood. koletzkis housy interpretation is perfect for the late evening hours and brings some carribean flair on the dancefloor, umami comes up with a real tech house stomper while aka aka elevate us to another level of their collabortion with their trumpeter thalstroem. must have!!

>3.652 tage< : the track a day originated after my 10-year-old djs jubilee. from the mood of the eve, there originated thus the acoustics-percussion beat with emitter surfaces. >zeitfenster< : this track with miguel aka electric gloss, to a friend from portugal produced. he has visited me for two days in frankfurt, meanwhile we were diligent in the studio. the sound capes remind me of a typical summer thunderstorm. >eureka< : this number has something incredible for me. a kind of space-electro with quite futuristic melody. if somewhat is inspired by the film barbarella. unambiguously one of my favourites on the album.

nice price deal !!! second in the all-analogue cave paintings series where raw machine funk workouts are very much the order of the day. >2x< takes up where 1y left off and adds a sinister backwards-sweeping synth line to turn heads to jelly while the limbs carry on jacking to the syncopated percussion and insistent one-note bassline. >2y< is all but completely enveloped by a warm, deep, resonating bassline which is so wall-to-wall that it leaves plenty of room for the intricate, interlocking percussion to create a body-hypnotic groove. cave paintings - letting the machines decide.

i dont think i know, or heard of, anyone who share the same obsession in searching obscure disco records like kool dj dust (real name daniel savio). call him at any given time and he is in some flee market or second hand shop on the look-out for records. he even got an apartment just for his collection.
we talked about the idea of re-releasing >un-googable< music, old stuff that is not only very hard to find, but also so good that re-issueing it is an actual cultural necessity. dust tossed around with a few ideas and finally these three songs made the cut. we are very happy with them!
